E-Rate Services - Key Benefits

  • Discounts on services: Schools and libraries can receive significant discounts on broadband, managed internal connections, and maintenance services.
  • Tailored for your needs: Discounts are determined by the poverty level and rural status of the institution, ensuring equitable access to vital technology.
  • Comprehensive support: E-Rate covers services ranging from basic telecommunications to advanced internal connections, including Wi-Fi infrastructure.

How It Works: Simplifying the Process

Identify Needs: Schools and libraries assess their technology requirements for internet access, telecommunications, and internal connections.

Competitive Bidding: Once identified, they submit a request for bids through the Universal Service Administrative Company (USAC). Vendors then respond with competitive offers.

Select & Apply: Schools choose the most cost-effective solution and apply to USAC for funding approval.

Receive Funding: After services are provided, applicants receive reimbursement for the approved discount amount, making it easy to manage technology upgrades.
